“Jissus Waasi Water” (as the cape dialect, questioning the diminishing water)
This sculpture poses significant questions to man and his position on the planet.
Noah’s white dove as a spirit of gentleness has returned, now in dark colour perched on a cross.
The white cross, symbol of man’s infinite horizontal and vertical expansion is lying down with asymmetrical dimensions.
The solid mass of concrete, depicting “church” is positioned without sense of foundation but rather floating upside down.
